The Tour Down Under has come to an end for Gianni Moscon, who was forced to withdraw from the race after crashing in the third stage. Astana Qazaqstan has revealed that Moscon sustained a broken left collarbone.
Gianni Moscon, who was in 23rd place overall and 30 seconds behind the leader Rohan Dennis before the stage, was unable to finish the race after crashing with his teammate Leonardo Basso around 36 kilometers from the finish. Moscon immediately grabbed his shoulder and was not able to continue. Though Basso was able to get back to his bike and continue the race.
