Former Barça coach Luis Enrique picks his 3 favorites to win the 2025 Paris-Roubaix

This Sunday, April 13, one of the most anticipated races on the calendar takes place: Paris-Roubaix 2025. The main feature of this year's Hell of the North will be the debut of Tadej Pogacar. And nobody wants to miss that. The Slovenian will once again fight a thrilling duel against Mathieu van der Poel, this time to break their 1-1 tie in monuments won this year.
However, there'll be a fair amount of other riders ready to challenge the two superstars for the win on Sunday. Main namess to follow closely are Mads Pedersen, Wout van Aert, Jasper Philipsen, Filippo Ganna, Jasper Stuyven, Iván García Cortina, Stefan Küng... And any one of them could win!
It is very difficult to predict what will happen in a race like Paris-Roubaix. However, former Barça coach and current PSG DT, Luis Enrique, also known for his strong passion for cycling, dropped his 3 favorites for victory when asked by Movistar's microphones.
"There are also Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert," said Luis Enrique when the Movistar journalist asked him his prediction for the race, and whether he saw Pogacar as the favorite. "It's incredible to see these riders. I'm delighted to see these beasts to evade soccer."
The PSG coach celebrated his team's victory in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final, where they beat Aston Villa by 3 goals to 1 at home.
Even though soccer is the king of sports, and at this stage of the season the games are becoming more and more important, events like Paris-Roubaix bring the world to a standstill, and very few sports can achieve that in the same way. Cycling will always be the most special of all. And Pogacar, Van der Poel, Van Aert and company will be there to remind us again.

- Exactly, and with Mads in the running, a quartet would have been formed, TP and MVDP would have had to exhaust themselves more to shake off both Mads and Jasper although MVDP could have played his lead-out role for Jasper again (remember, it was he who broke Jasper, not Tadej and I don’t think Tadej would have risked countless attacks noticing an unbudging MVDP (who’d constantly pull Jasper with him without Jasper having to go into the red)). Any of the possible scenarios would NOT have favoured Tadej and in a 4-way sprint at the end his most likely place would then have been 4th. In the end he can count himself quite fortunate with his 2nd.
