The Tour de Suisse is the last big preparation race for the Tour de France. This year it has a very challenging course. Almost every stage sees a number of climbs that can make differences in each day. For the general classification especially stages 6 and 7 are important with a tough uphill finish and the final time trial of over 25 kilometres on the final day.
One of the men who will be competing in this race is Remco Evenepoel. The young Belgian has never won a stage-race of this level and will have competition from the likes of Daniel Martínez, Adam Yates, Aleksandr Vlasov and Gino Mäder. For Evenepoel it will be a nice test for the Vuelta a España.
