Between its seven victories on the road, great performances in cyclo-cross and during the Vuelta a Espana, Burgos-BH has just ended a prosperous year. The season took off with fifth consecutive cyclocross title for Felipe Orts, but it's only the successes from field the Spanish team can be proud of.
Tour of Turkey, Volta a Portugal, Grand Prix Beiras e Serra de Estrela, Région Pays de la Loire Tour... Burgos-BH has multiplied successes and podium results in races far from being the least prestigious. The team can also be proud of Pelayo Sánchez who is making the step up to World Tour with Movistar Team after three years with the team.
Monegasque Victor Langellotti is the author of teams greatest triumph, when he raised his hands in sixth stage of Tour of Turkey, accelerating away from the race's GC winner Alexey Lutsenko in final hundreds of meters.
"We are very happy," sports director Ruben Pérez sums up on the Burgos-BH website. "We put the finishing touches on a very good season in which we achieved seven victories, with six different riders, in seven different months, as well as a team time trial. We have to see this in a very positive way. We finished in 32nd place in the UCI World Team Rankings. Every season we move up little by little, but this season we made even bigger leap. We should be proud of the fact that the team gets better every year."
