"Unfortunately after suffering with gastrointestinal problems during stage 2 & yesterday attempting to race stage 3 of the #AlUlaTour, a decision has been made by our medical team that Groenewegen will not start today’s fourth stage," an official announcement reads.
Dunbar meanwhile departs the Volta a Comunitat Valenciana in more painful circumstances after a crash yesterday. "Dunbar was assessed by the doctor after crashing during yesterday’s stage 2 and the decision was made for him to rest and recover ahead of a busy season," says an update on the condition of the Irishman.
