Demi Vollering is hungry for big victories in 2024: "There’s the Olympics, the Tour de France, the World Championships... it’s a big dream to wear the rainbow"

Demi Vollering has her sights on a "a very special year" with success at the Olympic Games, Tour de France Femmes and World Championships. After already impressive 2023 season, she is aiming for even more glory in 2024 and hopes her SD Worx - Protime team can keep their momentum going.

"This year is going to be a very special year," Vollering told Eurosport. "There’s the Olympics, the Tour de France, with the start in Rotterdam where I was born really close to, which will be so special for me, then after that we have the World Championships in Switzerland where I live at the moment."

"The Olympics is so special because it’s only once every four years, the Tour is also something I am really focused for, then the World Championships... it’s a big dream for me to have that rainbow jersey on," Vollering doesn't hide her ambitions.

Of course being part of world's best women team gives her extra confidence. "We have such a nice team so we need to make sure it stays really nice. We need to really pay attention to try to communicate well with each other so everyone knows what is going on, not that you think it’s good and don’t invest in it anymore. You always need to keep investing into the team and this is really important I think. That’s what we will do this coming year."
