Early December means it's once again the time of the year teams use as an opportunity to present their fresh looks for upcoming season. And while some of the new kits leaked already leaked out (more or less accidentally) through footages, it's only today that first teams officially unveiled their 2025 jerseys.
Both Lidl-Trek and Cofidis underwent changes. In the case of Lidl-Trek, their jersey gains a bit of red colour which should help us separate them from all the other blue-ish jerseys in races. In the case of Cofidis the changes are perhaps even more noticeable. The French team abandons it's traditional red & white to try a combination of red, purple (dark red) and yellow colours.
We can only assume this is a precaution in line with UCI's "request" towards teams to adjust their colour schemes so that they differ from Grand Tour leader jerseys as much as possible. Personally, I find this design refreshing while the yellow sleeves will make Cofidis more than easily recognizable in the peloton. Thumbs up from me.
The new race clothing is made by the Basque Country brand Etxeondo and is paired with black shorts. On Wednesday Cofidis announced a four-year deal with Italian component brand Campagnolo as they refreshed their equipment for 2025. Cofidis will ride Look bikes and be the only men's WorldTour to use Campagnolo components.
