Chloe Dygert suffering from illness but still starts the ITT at Glasgow World Championships

Chloe Dygert has already tasted success at the Glasgow World Championships, winning the individual pursuit on the track, inside the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome. Ahead of the women's elite individual time-trial though, the American has been battling with illness.
"Unfortunately, we have news that Chloe Dygert has suffered from illness since winning her 4th title in the individual pursuit and racing the team pursuit last week," an announcement from her team, Canyon//SRAM Racing's official Twitter account has revealed.
"The 2019 ITT world champion has done everything possible to recover and be at her best for the individual time-trial today," the post concludes. Whether or not Dygert will be able to compete at the level required to compete for the Rainbow Jersey remains to be seen.
