The organization of the Tour de France Femmes has announced the starting location of the 2025 edition. The Grand Départ will take place in Vannes in the Brittany region.
It has been four years since the region last organized a Grand Départ. Then it was Brest that hosted the Tour de France for men. The French stage race now returns to the region for the women's edition after starting in recent years in Paris, Clermont-Ferrand and this year in Rotterdam.
The riders will complete two complete stages in Brittany, after which the third stage will leave the region as the race heads south/east in search of mountains in later parts of the race.
First stage from Vannes to Plumelec will open the race on July 26 with what is likely to be a fast bunch sprint. Also second day in Brittany should favor riders with a strong kick as the race heads from Brest at the Atlantic coast to Quimper. Stage 3 will still from La Gacilly, however that's everything we know for now.
