AWARDS: Lotte Kopecky narrowly voted CyclingUpToDate Women's Rider of the Year ahead of Demi Vollering

In an incredibly tight poll, your votes have seen Lotte Kopecky narrowly voted the CyclingUpToDate Women's Rider of the Year, just edging out her Team SD Worx teammate, Demi Vollering.

With both Kopecky and Vollering having all-star seasons, it was understandably a close call. In the end, it was the Belgian World Champion who took victory with 36 percent of the overall votes, just three percent clear of the Tour de France Femmes winner, Vollering, who pocketed 33 percent.

Behind the Team SD Worx pair, the battle for the third step on the podium was also quiet a close one. Eventually though, Cyclocross World Champion, Fem van Empel fought off a close fight from both Annemiek Van Vleuten and Katarzyna Niewiadoma with just three votes separating all three riders.

For Kopecky though, although she didn't win, her second overall behind Vollering at the Tour de France Femmes, was arguably one of the best performances of the year. Also becoming World Champion in Glasgow, a double Belgian national champion, Tour of Flanders winner and Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, the 28-year-old consistently impressed throughout the campaign and is a truly deserved winner!
