ASO reveal the routes for the first three stages of the Tour de France Femmes around Rotterdam

The routes for the opening three stages of the 2024 Tour de France Femmes have been officially revealed by race organisers ASO at an event in Rotterdam. It was announced in October that the stage race would be starting in the Netherlands, with three of the eight stages taking place in the east of the country.

This will be the first time in the race’s short history that it has left the borders of France and with the previous two editions being won by Dutch riders, in the form of Annemiek van Vleuten and Demi Vollering, we should see massive crowds on the roads of the cycling crazy country.

The opening stage is 124km-long and will take the riders from Rotterdam to the nearby city of The Hague, with a finish by the coast at Kijkduin. Stage 2 is much shorter at 67km in length, starting in Dordrecht and finishing Rotterdam, before a 6.7km-long individual time trial around Rotterdam on the same day. In their description of the stage 3 race against the clock, ASO wrote that “the course is made for fast riders, with many long, straight stretches and only a handful of bends”.
