Amaury Capiot is back at podium after last year's health complications: "It gives me confidence for the future"

Amaury Capiot had a very tough last year with two knee operations in a quick succession and major question marks arising about the continuation of his professional career. But it all seems a distant memory, because is Capiot is back at his best, as he has shown with a thrid place at Muscat Classic.

"I am very happy with my race. To get a podium today is encouraging. I was full of energy when I reached the top of the last climb, it was impossible to follow Finn Fisher-Black, so this podium rewards our work. This is my first podium since October 2022, and obviously that gives me confidence for the future, the form is there," he said in press release.

"The Tour of Oman begins tomorrow with a large field of sprinters. I hope to be able to express myself again even if I prefer more difficult run-ups like today."
