As he does every day on Eurosport, former Giro d'Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a España winner Alberto Contador makes his prediction of what he thinks will happen in the stage of the day in the corsa rosa, in this case the sixth, which starts and finishes with Naples as the protagonist and a steep profile that could give different strategies.
The cyclist from Madrid believes that there are 2 possible finishes in the Neapolitan day: "Today is a new stage that will give opportunities to both the sprinters and the breakaway, Napoli-Napoli. We have a mountainous difficulty of second category, Valico di Chiunzi. We are talking about a pass of almost 10 kilometers with an average gradient of over 6%. It's a port of an important entity, especially if in the initial part you fight a lot to get into the breakaway."
This is how Contador describes the rest of the stage: "Then we'll find leg-breaking terrain all the time and a third category pass. What is certain is that (from the top) there will be more than 60 kilometers to the finish line. We don't know if there will be brave teams or not to try to control the stage, I think a little bit of everything can happen. We'll have to keep an eye on the sky, to see if the rain gives a little respite, although it doesn't look like it."
