Davide Ballerini has tested positive for the coronavirus and can therefore not start in the Tour de La Provence. The Italian is, after Kasper Asgreen, already the second rider of Quick-Step-Alpha Vinyl to miss the French stage race for this reason.
Asgreen tested positive for the coronavirus on Monday. As a result, Quick-Step-Alpha Vinyl took measures. "Our internal testing protocol revealed a positive coronavirus test for Davide Ballerini, as a result, the team will start with five riders in the Tour de La Provence."
Following the internal testing protocol, @ballero_94 returned a positive result for Covid-19.
As consequence, the team will start @TourProvenceOFF tomorrow with five riders.
We wish Davide a speedy recovery!
