No longer a celebratory and processional finale to the Tour de France, stage 21 of the 2025 edition is set give the peloton much to think about. After previously confirming the addition of the ominous Montmartre climb to the stage's parcours, the Tour de France has now officially unveiled the full stage profile and you can find it right here.
Inspired by the exciting battle for gold in the road race at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, a hilly and challenging profile awaits the riders on stage 21 this time around. "5 climbs on the program, with the final passage in the rue Lepic less than 7 km from the final finish of the 2025 Tour de France on the Champs-Elysées," explains a post on the official X (Twitter) account of the French Grand Tour. "This final stage could be explosive!"
They're not wrong either. As mentioned, this is no longer the processional ending to the Tour de France than has become the norm. This is instead likely to be a firework finale to the most watched bike race on the planet, one that is surely set to carry on the drama all the way to the iconic cobbles of the Champs-Elysées.
