It is not surprising that Bauke Mollema took to the roads of Milano-Sanremo on Tuesday, even though the 38-year-old climber is not going to add his second participation at the race to that from 2014.
During his training ride, the Dutchman, who lives in nearby Monaco, rode over the two most famous climbs of the spring classic, the Cipressa and the Poggio.
Once back home in Monaco, Mollema was surprised by Mother Nature. The Nice (Monaco) area was struck by a 4.1 magnitude earthquake. Enough to move around furniture in Mollema's house. "We thought the kids were destroying the house again, but it was 'only' an earthquake," he says via Instagram.
