Tom Pidcock confirmed to battle with van der Poel at Paris MTB Test Event, end season with Snowshoe and Mont-Saint-Anne World Cups

Tom Pidcock has not taken to the start of the road European Championships, the British rider has opted for different plans this weekend, where he will race the Mountain Bike Olympic Games Test Event in Paris - alongside Mathieu van der Poel.

The two will be testing out the circuit at full-on race pace with the rest of the field as part of their preparation for next year's event where both are expected - Pidcock as the reigning champion. The INEOS Grenadiers rider has raced a few MTB events this season to maintain his position in the rankings, successfully as he recently won the World Championships in Glasgow. He will still race the World Cup races in North America the following two weekends, in Snowshoe and Mont-Saint-Anne respectively.
