Lucinda Brand continues to show good form over the winter with another podium finish on Thursday afternoon in Koksijde.
Although Brand couldn't contest for victory against
Fem van Empel on the day, she was involved in a dual with
Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado for third spot. “I think we rode at the same distance from each other the entire race,” Brand said post-race of the battle with Alvarado. “In the last two laps, I had some difficulty with that second long dune strip in front of the equipment station. If you have a bad passage and another a good one, the other one quickly catches up."
