This weekend the cyclocross season comes to its climax with the World Championships in Tábor. No unfamiliar terrain for the riders, as a World Cup has been held here for decades. A challenging course where technical passages and sections on power alternate. With uphill planks, which can play a decisive role just before the finish.
In the men's race, there seems to be no doubt about the main favourite. Mathieu van der Poel lost just one race this winter due to a crash and stands alone. Behind him, the battle for silver and bronze will be exciting with a duel between Belgium (Eli Iserbyt, Thibau Nys and Michael Vanthourenhout) and the Netherlands (Joris Nieuwenhuis, Pim Ronhaar and Lars van der Haar).
