Mathieu van der Poel has won many races in his life, however today's triumph at the Cyclocross World Championships is up there with the greats. It wasn't without it's obstacles however, as the Dutchman collided with a photographer during the race.

In a report from Wielerflits, it is visible to see the impact of van der Poel who collided with a German photographer during the race, which was close to ending up in disaster. Eventually however he managed to hold it upright in a race where the tiniest mistake could've cost the world title, and outsprinted Wout van Aert to a fifth world title.
