Felipe Orts' emotional last day with Burgos BH before joining his own team in 2024

The stage of Felipe Orts as a Burgos BH cyclist has had one of the most emotional endings that could be expected. On December 29 he achieved one of the best performances of his career in the Exact Cross of Loenhout, where he managed to get on the podium along with Mathieu van der Poel and dedicate it to his uncle, who had died a day before the race.

This Saturday, December 30, Orts took on his last race with Burgos BH at the Hulst UCI World Cup. As it is already known, the Spaniard will leave the team where he has spent three years of his life, from 2021 to 2023, to join his own team, the FORTS Team, on January 1, 2024.

Before the World Cup race, Felipe Orts posted an emotional farewell message to Burgos BH: "Last day with the colors of Burgos BH. It's been three wonderful years with great professionals. I leave being a better cyclist than when I arrived, together we have lived many days of glory. THANK YOU".

Orts' best performances with Burgos BH have been yesterday's third place in Loenhout, a third place in the Superprestige de Niel, a sixth place in the European Championships, 13 wins in Spanish races and two national titles.

In his last race with Burgos BH, Felipe Orts finished 12th.
