Stage 14 of the Vuelta a España 2023 has given an emotional victory to Remco Evenepoel after his setback on stage 13 that cost him to stay out of the fight for the red jersey for the rest of the race.
The Soudal - Quick-Step leader did not hesitate to jump into the breakaway to at least redeem himself with a stage win that has also returned him to the Top 15 in an overall classification that has barely noticed any changes after a conservative ride in the peloton over the final kilometers, with Jumbo-Visma having the situation under control at all times under the attacks of Juan Ayuso.
