As a raging peloton frantically entered the finale of stage 4 at the 2023 Vuelta a Espana, one of the stage hopefuls and a GC leader were taken down in a bad crash.
With 4.3km to go and the pace incredibly high, there was a big crash seemingly out of nowhere. As the camera zoomed in on the riders affected, Bryan Coquard was seen on the ground, ruling the Frenchman out of the running for a stage win. Santiago Buitrago was then also spotted and was seemingly in bad discomfort.
Check out the crash below and best wishes to all involved!
