UCI WorldTour Riders Ranking Update - Felix Gall surges towards UCI top 10 as Christian Scaroni moves ahead of Wout van Aert
Cycling
We’ve had a packed week with two compelling races: a WorldTour stage race in the Tour de Pologne and a star-studded Vuelta a Burgos, prompting several shifts in the UCI WorldTour ranking. Most movement came between places 11 and 16, with Felix Gall, overall winner in Burgos, the big gainer, climbing four spots to 11th.
Christian Scaroni also moves up after finishing seventh in Poland. Giulio Pellizzari, fourth in Burgos, rises one place, while Giulio Ciccone, third in Burgos, gains two and is now 22nd.
Little else to note at the top: Tadej Pogacar holds a crushing lead over Remco Evenepoel, with Jonas Vingegaard completing the podium and youngsters Isaac del Toro and Paul Seixas rounding out the top five.
There’s little change across the rest of the top 10, closed out by Tom Pidcock, Jasper Philipsen, Mattias Skjelmose, Mathieu van der Poel, and Lenny Martínez. Mads Pedersen, Mauro Schmid, Wout van Aert, and Arnaud De Lie slipped a few places within the top 20 this week. Jai Hindley, Paul Magnier (despite no wins in Poland), Richard Carapaz, and Tobias Lund Andresen held steady.
Movistar and Ayuso on the rise
Among Spanish riders, the top performer remains Juan Ayuso after his subdued seventh place at the recent Tour de France. The Valencian has raced sparingly this year.
After winning the Algarve, he did not finish Paris–Nice or Itzulia and took third at the Tour Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ahead of the Grande Boucle. He currently has no confirmed schedule, with the Vuelta a España not an initial target for him. The other Spaniard in the top 50 is Ion Izagirre, now 37th after climbing a couple of spots this week.
At Movistar Team, Iván Romeo jumps 50 places after his third at the Tour de Pologne. He closes in on Cian Uijtdebroeks, who appears unlikely to race again before the Vuelta a España.
Natnael Tesfatsion remains their top scorer with 1,219 points. Despite Romeo’s leap, the biggest mover for the Telefónica squad is Enric Mas, now 242nd after rising 92 places thanks to fifth in Burgos.

- I think that this is exactly what Jonas needs at this point in his career. It's something that could revive his passion for winning, and he's physically more than capable of winning one of those races as well.
santiagobenites01-11-2026 - What a great race! Couldn't look away. Can't wait for the euros
Rafionain-Glas01-11-2026 - I think other competitors also had great Tours, so it wasn't that Ferrand-Prévot necessarily failed in some way - it's more likely that the other top riders lifted their game and maybe also a bit of luck with no crashes, etc. It's the Tour de France after all. It's not meant to be easy to defend your title (the few exceptions like Pogacar prove the rule).Pogboom01-11-2026

- hahah literally all it is. Glad im not the only one noticing, essentially this is just a blog as it is now. Run buy boys from their bedroom hehe Their very subjective aswell, people on twitter even said their pure visma fanboys, if you listen to Ruben silva guy pre TDF this year all he said turned out to be wrong and constantly fail to realize visma isnt where they was before roster wice or means to contest even RBH or Lidl anymore, ,very biased ppl and when you run ''news articles that way its problematic..miguel01-11-2026
- The new joke of the year in 2027: "If both guys (Pogi and Seixas) finish upright on their bikes and both don't get sick for some reason, I think Paul will fight Tadej to the end and will possibly beat him in 2027 at the Tour, yes, I just said that." ... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ...PogiSloFans01-11-2026

- Hey @frieder3, yeah sure, bull crap. What experience? You have no experience, you're an amateur cyclist... and to make things even worse, you're a lousy amateur cyclist. So what you're saying about your C7 has no relevance... do you even know where C7 is in your body? No, it's not in your knee!!! PS: Trump loves ya... 😍😍😍PogiSloFans01-11-2026
