The
UCI and Golazo have announced the UCI
Gravel World Series that will be taking this place. It will be sponsored by Trek and will give access to the Gravel World championships.
"The concept of the new
gravel series is based on that of the existing and very successful
UCI Gran Fondo World Series where riders can also earn their spot for an annual UCI World Championships," the official communique of the UCI has pointed out.
The 12-race series will have it's first event in the third of April in the Philippines and the final one in Ranxo, Spain in the 18th of September. It will include "two races each in the USA and Australia and one event in France, Poland, Sweden, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain."
The
UCI have also shared the calendar of races that will take part of this series, which will be the following:
