Tour de France 2026 prize money standings after Stage 15: UAE Team Emirates extends huge lead

The 2026 Tour de France will be entering its third week on Tuesday with some of its fiercest battles yet to take place. But before riders head to this year's key venue Alpe d'Huez, let's grab the opportunity to look back at which teams have enjoyed the greatest success - in financial terms.
Although hardly most teams' primary focus, the financial side is naturally tied to racing and performing and, as such, tends to very closely reflect each team's performances over the past two weeks.
The largest lump sum awaits the Grand Boucle's champion in Paris - €500.000 for the man who successfully brings yellow jersey onto Champs-Élysées. But that's not all. Stage results, points or KOM classifications, intermediate sprints and even combativity awards contribute to each team's final tally.
And by the end of the race, a total prize pool of €2.3 million will be split among 23 participating teams. How equally? Read on to find out.

UAE are cut above the rest
After Jonas Vingegaard's departure, UAE Team Emirates - XRG hold the general classification in a chokehold with both Tadej Pogacar and Isaac del Toro on the virtual podium. It comes as no surprise that the Emirati squad's balance displays twice as much prize money gathered as the second team in ranking - Lidl-Trek.
In fact, even a team comprising of Tadej Pogacar alone could lead the ranking two weeks into the race. Thanks to his four stage victories and prolonged stay in yellow jersey, the Slovenian has already secured €72,290. That is nearly €14,000 more than the American formation. And €25,000 more than all invited ProTeams combined.

The second place in the current ranking goes to Lidl-Trek. The American team has only won one stage so far, but their regular performances - 17 top-10 finishes in 14 road stages (!) - alongside activity at intermediate sprints and in subsidiary classifications (in particular green and white) have earned them the spot just behind UAE.
Soudal - Quick-Step rounds off the podium thanks to Tim Merlier's three sprint triumphs. The Belgian is second also in the individual ranking (€36,100), but abandoned the fifteenth stage, dealing massive blow to Quick-Step's third week ambitions to defend this position.
The same applies to fifth-seed Visma | Lease a Bike. Without Jonas Vingegaard, they can only aim to score on individual opportunities, but the general classification is gone.
On contrary, Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe (currently seventh) with two riders in overall top-5 is well on the way to sky-rocket up the standings.
INEOS is invisble
Among defeated teams, we have to count Netcompany INEOS. The British team brought a strong team to this Tour, but is yet to put their name on the map. With only one podium - from the opening team time trial - a massive third week will be necessary for the former 'Empire' to rise again and not walk out of this year's edition empty-handed.

The final spot at the end of two weeks goes to Team Picnic PostNL (€5,270). After a miserable first half of 2026, the expectations were rock-bottom. And, unfortantely, the Dutch team did not step up. Their only notable result was Pavel Bittner's fifth place in stage 8 sprint.
Home teams Groupama-FDJ United (€5,420), Cofidis (€6,020) as well as Tudor Pro Cycling (€5,560) are not doing much better in that regard.

- Terrible news of Florian Lipowitz crashing out. Wish him speedy recovery. It just reinforces the fact that victory is never certain until a rider crosses the finish line in Paris. I think the top 3 podium spots are going to be fought between Pogacar, Remco, Del Toro and Seixas barring any accidents.
PogiFan2Day21-07-2026 - If Paul rides within himself and only nears red on the final three mountain stages he will be on the podium. I said before the Tour started I didn't expect anything from him this Tour and that a top five, even a top ten would be an absolute success beyond imagination, being this is his first GT, if he podiums he needs to take a deal with Ineos immediately and he needs to run that team like Wiggins and Froome did.awp21-07-2026
