Tosh Van der Sande has signed a two-year contract extension with Team
Jumbo-Visma. The experienced Belgian rider mentors the team's young talents and is a key member of the classic team.
"I am very proud to be staying with the team for another two years," Van der Sande said. "The last year and a half has been fantastic. Everywhere we go, we start with the ambition to win, which gives confidence and motivation. The entire team gets along well, and it is great to work for a leader like Wout van Aert or a talented sprinter like Olav Kooij. I get a lot of satisfaction from working with all the young talent we have on the team. In the upcoming years, I hope to further develop this."
Van der Sande joined Team Jumbo-Visma in 2022 and quickly became an important rider. Sports Director Merijn Zeeman adds: "Tosh is a valuable team player in all areas: in the classics, sprint preparation and mentoring young riders. We are happy he stays with us until 2025 because his personality fits our team well."
Tosh van der Sande rode full classics season where he fully dedicated his efforts to support his leaders, Wout van Aert, Christopher Laporte, Olav Kooij or Tiesj Benoot. Van der Sande is currently on altitude training camp in Spain, preparing to guard Jonas Vingegaard's ambitions as the Dane hopes to defend his Tour de France title.
