Thibau Nys was able to secure the overall victory in final stage of the Tour de Hongrie, but the steep climb to Pecs which riders had to overcome three times on Sunday. Bora tried to shake up the standings for Emmanuel Buchmann, but Nys was too strong this week.
"I am very tired, it was a tough final," Nys says in a flash interview. "I had a very good feeling, I felt very strong from the start of the race. But the first time the climb was very difficult. I was already starting to suffer more than I had predicted. It was better the second time. I felt that I could recover well from those climbs and the efforts."
"In the end I'm disappointed that I don't win a third stage in a row, but I was too focused on the classification in my head. I didn't want to leave any gaps, that's where I lose the stage. The rankings were too important. But I'm happy, it was a good week."
