"Sepp is still the one who has to go for it, he's wearing red" - Primoz Roglic satisfied with time-trial and GC rise

Primoz Roglic finished third in the Valladolid time trial of the Vuelta a Espana, behind only Filippo Ganna and Remco Evenepoel. He has now strategically positioned himself in the classification behind the Belgian, sandwiching Remco with teammate Sepp Kuss.

After the stage, he was very satisfied with his performance: "Yes, I am very happy, happy with the result. It was very hard work and I have no complaints." He was the closest competitor to Evenepoel in the time-trial, but tactically speaking he has gained the upper hand when it comes to Jumbo-Visma's priorities for the GC, as Jonas Vingegaard experienced a tough day and lost 42 seconds to his teammate.

About Remco's result, he said he was not surprised: "He is the world time trial champion, he is always super fast, I think I put in a good performance, good numbers, I went at full throttle and I'm very happy with the result".

On the general classification and still having Kuss in the overall lead Primoz smiled and made the Jumbo-Visma strategy as unclear as possible: "Sepp is still the one who has to go for it, he's wearing the red," he laughed, whilst the team continues to navigate through an unexpected situation.
