Sebastian Henao will not be seen in major events for the time being. The Colombian rider has decided to take a break from cycling due to health problems.
It was announced on Wednesday by his team Astana Qazaqstan via social media. "Astana Qazaqstan hereby communicates that its rider, Sebastián Henao, has taken the decision to take a break in his cycling career due to some health problems. Astana Qazaqstan respects the decision and wishes the rider all the best,” read the statement.
While the team announced his decision, it was not revealed what health-related problem pushed him to take such decision. He has been absent from professional racing for quite some time now. The last race Henao rode was the Adriatica Ionica Race in early June. No exact date has been provided for his return.
