Remco Evenepoel has taken a Rainbow Jersey at each of the last two
World Championships. Ahead of the 2024 edition in Zurich, the Belgian looks set to contest for victory yet again if his latest upload to
Strava is anything to go by!
Taking on more than 260 kilometres, with just short of 3,600 metres of altitude gain, in an effort of more than 7 hours with an average speed of 36.6 kilometres per hour, the double Olympic champion posts a simple, one word caption... "Ready."
After claiming the Rainbow Jersey on the road at the 2022 World Championships in Wollongong, Evenepoel added an individual time trial title to his palmares last year in Glasgow. If the Belgian is to take another world title, he must overcome the likes of Primoz Roglic, Tadej Pogacar, Tom Pidcock and the reigning world champion, Mathieu van der Poel among others in an expectedly all-star field for Zurich.
