PHOTOS: Tadej Pogacar shares more images from his reconnaissance of the Poggio pre-Milano-Sanremo

After his stunning victory at Strade Bianche opened the 2024 season in style for Tadej Pogacar, the Slovenian returns to racing on the 16th of March with the first monument of the year at Milano-Sanremo.

Having previously shared a video of his reconnaissance of the infamous Poggio, Pogacar has now shown off more images via his official Instagram account. "This Saturday we take the long road from Milan to San Remo. Excited for the 288km of La Primavera," writes the UAE Team Emirates leader. "Also, shoutout to the wall artist who painted me in full 'sprinter' version!"

Pogacar leads a strong UAE Team Emirates lineup for Milano-Sanremo, including support from the likes of recent podium finisher at Paris-Nice, Brandon McNulty and Classics specialists, Marc Hirschi and Tim Wellens.

With competition coming from the likes of Mathieu van der Poel, Jasper Philipsen, Mads Pedersen, Tom Pidcock and Filippo Ganna among others, victory is by no means assured however.
