Vuelta a Andalucia Ruta Ciclista Del Sol is finalizing the details of an edition that will once again place the race among the most attractive on the international calendar. With less than a month to go until the start set for February 18th in the Málaga town of Benahavís, the roster of teams for the Andalusian race has already been confirmed.
A total of 17 teams will line up for the five-day stage race, including a strong presence from the sport’s top tier. Six WorldTour teams will compete in Andalucía, headlined by last season’s top two in the UCI ranking: UAE Team Emirates - XRG, current world number one, and Visma | Lease a Bike, their main rivals.
They will be joined by the ambitious Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe. Also present are Groupama - FDJ and Uno-X Mobility, the Norwegian newcomer in cycling's elite division. Rounding out the WorldTour lineup is Movistar Team, the only Spanish representative in the top division.
Ruta del Sol will also feature a strong ProTeam contingent. Among them are the French squads Cofidis, fighting for promotion to the elite of international cycling, and TotalEnergies. From Switzerland comes Pinarello-Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, a regular presence at Grand Tours.

Strong home representation

The Spanish peloton will have significant weight in the Andalusian race with the country’s leading ProTeams on the start list. Euskaltel-Euskadi, Burgos Burpellet BH, Caja Rural - Seguros RGA, and Kern Pharma will be part of an edition that once again puts Spanish teams in the spotlight in front of their home fans.
International diversity will be reflected by the participation of Team Flanders Baloise from Belgium and MBH Bank CSB Telecom, a team that has moved its base from Italy to the Netherlands this year. From the Americas come outfits such as Petrolike from Mexico and Modern Adventure Pro Cycling from the United States.
Final rosters will be announced in the coming days for a Ruta del Sol Vuelta Ciclista a Andalucía that looks especially enticing. The mix of top-tier teams and a demanding route promises five high-level days for cycling fans.
