Marijn van den Berg withdraws from Dutch European Championship team citing Vuelta fatigue as his replacement Ide Schelling has to turn down call up

Having not fully recovered from his debut Grand Tour appearance at the Vuelta a Espana, Marijn van den Berg has withdrawn from the Dutch European Championship squad.

Although he came close in a few sprints, the EF Education-EasyPost rider was unable to take a stage win at the Vuelta a Espana. Strangely enough, the first choice replacement Ide Schelling has also had to turn down the call-up so Cees Bol will instead be the final member of a Dutch team that also includes Olav Kooij, Nils Eekhoff, Sjoerd Bax, Bauke Mollema, Mike Teunissen, Elmar Reinders and Daan Hoole.
