Lorena Wiebes has continued her dominance with stage 3a victory in the Baloise Ladies Tour. She was the fastest in sprint against van der Hulst and Paternoster and secured the gold for the third time.
There was no breakaway in the early stage of the race. After 30 kilometers from the start, Jeanne Korevaar and Clara Lundmark tried to create some distance from the peloton. They managed to find a lead of less than a minute. The peloton caught up to them nine kilometers before the finish line.
With no breakaway riders in the front, it was time for the peloton to sprint. Wiebes launched her attack with her help of her teammates. She was the first to cross the finish line making it her third stage victory in the tour.
