Lorena Wiebes gifts one last win to DSM before parting ways - "To win in this jersey, in my last race for Team DSM... I'm very happy,"

Lorena Wiebes rode to her 23rd victory of the season in Binche-Chimay-Binch pour Dames on Tuesday. It was the last time she rode in the Team DSM outfit and this was a parting gift to the team.
"It's nice to finish like this, especially since it was the last race for Team DSM. We were in control of the race the whole time. With Francesca, we had a rider in the leading group. So we didn't have to ride in the chase. That was ideal," said Wiebes in the post-race interview.
The European Champion got a bit emotional before she continued again. "We really showed ourselves as a team again. I'm very happy to finish then. To win in this jersey, in my last race for Team DSM... I'm very happy,” concluded Wiebes. She will ride for Team SD Worx starting next year.
