Even a master of his craft can make a mistake - and Thibau Nys is no exception to this rule. The European cyclocross champion is one of the technically most gifted riders in the peloton, yet even he kisses the asphalt on a bad day.
We learn that one such incident happened to Nys during the on-going Lidl-Trek altitude camp in Sierra Nevada. Albeit we don't get the exact details, it's clear from Nys' Instagram story that the descents in Sierra Nevada are way trickier than the Belgian anticipated as he appears with a face covered in bruises. "Happy to walk away from this one. Stay safe in the downhill, kids."
