After his spring ending crash at
Dwars Door Vlaanderen,
Wout van Aert was left with a fractured collarbone, fractured ribs and a fractured sternum. In something great to see though, the Belgian has now been video back on his bike outdoors.
In a video posted to the social media pages of Team Visma | Lease a Bike, van Aert expresses his happiness to be back outside. "It's been almost four weeks and I'm happy to be back riding outside," the Belgian says in the video, even giving directions for those who would like an ice cream!
As mentioned, van Aert's spring goals were ruined by the crash, the Belgian was also sadly ruled out of making his planned Giro d'Italia debut. With the Olympic Games, World Championships and possibly even the Tour de France still to come however, images of van Aert back on his bike are great to see.
And you can see them for yourself in the video down below!
