Lotto Soudal, set to be Lotto-Dstny in 2023, have announced that 31-year-old Argentine climber Eduardo Sepulveda has joined the team on a one-year deal.
In his first interview since becoming a Lotto rider, Sepulveda sounded delighted to be joining. "This team has a beautiful history. It will be my first time in a Belgian team and I am looking forward to help the team achieve good results and fight for victory myself."
Sepulveda, a rider with 7 Grand Tours in his legs, has plenty of experience at the highest levels of road cycling. Lotto's sport manager Kurt Van de Wouwer was full of praise for his latest acquisition, "Sepulveda has a lot of experience," he said. "very ambitious to get results in difficult races."
Alongside Sepulveda, 24-year-old German Johannes Adamietz has also joined and will make his professional debut with Lotto-Dstny in 2023. "Adamietz has shown himself as a continental rider amongst the pros." Van de Wouwer said of the young German. "We believe he can still improve and grow and will help in this process.”
