Lotto Dstny sports director Allan Davis pulled from the Tour de France after allegations

Lotto Dstny's sports director Allan Davis has been pulled from the team's Tour de France lineup after allegations have emerged of him sending unwanted messages to a woman.

“It is a personal matter and it has nothing to do with Lotto Dstny," the team said in a blunt response to the Belga news agency when asked to comment on the allegations. Allan will not be present in the Tour de France. We do not want to mix personal matters with team interests."

The Australian formerly rode for teams such as Astana and Orica GreenEDGE, winning the Tour Down Under in 2009. Since joining Lotto Dstny he has been a big help to fellow Aussie, Caleb Ewan and had been keen on helping his compatriot add to his tally of three Tour de France stage wins though that will no longer be the case after this news.
