After a brutal climb of the infamous Jebel Hafeet, Team SD Worx - Protime's Lotte Kopecky has prevailed, timing her efforts to perfection to edge out Neve Bradbury.
Three women tried their luck in the breakaway of the day and 30km out from the start of the climb to the finish line atop Jebel Hafeet, they had gained an advantage of over six minutes on the peloton. Once the climbing began though, it didn't take long for the big names to come to the fore.
The likes of Elisa Longo Borghini, Lotte Kopecky, Gaia Realini, Neve Bradbury, Mavi Garcia and Marion Bunel proving themselves the strongest initially. Out of that select group it was Bradbury who made the first big attack but like a shark hunting blood, Kopecky never gave up and slowly but surely pulled back to the Australian and in the end managed to seal the victory.
