A bit sad that the second best GC rider should miss the Tour. But the course really doesn't suit him. Maybe they should go for Giro - Vuelta and the two Swiss races he miss in his palmares. Time waits for no man and chasing the Tour in these circumstances could end up being an exercise in frustration and a waste of time.04:17

Just to be that guy... MVDP should not be competitive against Pogacar in a long TT. In a prologue yes, but not over 27km. Pogacar beat Lenny Martinez by 7 seconds after Lenny had been in the break all day and Pogacar launched from the bottom... Pogacar may have beat Carapaz by a large margin, but Is he really in that good shape?22-06-2026 04:28

Such a shame UAE bought Narvaez after he beat Pogacar in an uphill sprint at the 2024 Giro. Imagine the duels they could have had! I guess that is exactly what UAE did and decided Nope! Not going to happen...21-05-2026 07:13

Yes he definitely needs to lose some weight and do an altitude camp before the TdF. You can argue Jonas is climbing better than Tadej at the moment, having recently dropped all these guys with relative ease over two stage races. Or maybe Lipowitz is getting stronger?03-05-2026 03:24

Instead of making the race hard, you make it as easy as possible. Never pull with Pogacar in the peloton. A hard race favours Pogacar. Send a rider up the road so Pogacar and his team have to chase. Keep your riders fresh so if/when Pogacar attacks you can organise a chase. At least you'll have a chance of catching him. And the other teams needs to get better at cooperating if they want to break the Pogacar monopoly. Currently they'll rather let Pogacar win than work together it seems. They used to talk to each other in the past. I remember a reporter asking Remco before the world's if they (Belgium) had considered working with Denmark. It was a foreign concept to him. He looked baffled and set something to the effects that in the end the strongest rider wins. Exactly Remco. Exactly...
