Instead of making the race hard, you make it as easy as possible. Never pull with Pogacar in the peloton. A hard race favours Pogacar. Send a rider up the road so Pogacar and his team have to chase. Keep your riders fresh so if/when Pogacar attacks you can organise a chase. At least you'll have a chance of catching him. And the other teams needs to get better at cooperating if they want to break the Pogacar monopoly. Currently they'll rather let Pogacar win than work together it seems. They used to talk to each other in the past. I remember a reporter asking Remco before the world's if they (Belgium) had considered working with Denmark. It was a foreign concept to him. He looked baffled and set something to the effects that in the end the strongest rider wins. Exactly Remco. Exactly... Especially if you refuse to use tactics or co-operate with anyone.09-10-2025 04:48

There is almost no way Pogacar does not win this stage. If this was a couple of years back when Vingegaard might have had an advantage on stages with multiple high altitude climbs we would have said this stage is a gift to Pogacar with only one big climb. Even more so now where he has no such weaknesses anymore. The best climber with a stage tailor-made for him. And he'll want to win it too. No gifts to the breakaway on this one.22-07-2025 00:34

Does this mean we won't see the big all out UAE attack on stage one? Riding the Giro and then getting Covid is not exactly optimal preparation for the Tour.28-06-2024 01:49

It makes sense that Vingegaard grows wings. Soon he'll be flying up mountains again.21-05-2024 01:55

It makes sense for Pogacar to go for a win in the Giro. The course suits him. The Tour on the other hand is heavily suited to Jonas with lots of high mountains and a hard third week where Jonas is usually strongest.18-12-2023 01:31

With Roglic gone, the man behind around 40% of JV's victories, the two team dominance will be less pronounced next year. It'll be three team dominance 😁18-11-2023 04:14
