There is almost no way Pogacar does not win this stage. If this was a couple of years back when Vingegaard might have had an advantage on stages with multiple high altitude climbs we would have said this stage is a gift to Pogacar with only one big climb. Even more so now where he has no such weaknesses anymore. The best climber with a stage tailor-made for him. And he'll want to win it too. No gifts to the breakaway on this one.22-07-2025 00:34

Does this mean we won't see the big all out UAE attack on stage one? Riding the Giro and then getting Covid is not exactly optimal preparation for the Tour.28-06-2024 01:49

It makes sense that Vingegaard grows wings. Soon he'll be flying up mountains again.21-05-2024 01:55

It makes sense for Pogacar to go for a win in the Giro. The course suits him. The Tour on the other hand is heavily suited to Jonas with lots of high mountains and a hard third week where Jonas is usually strongest.18-12-2023 01:31

With Roglic gone, the man behind around 40% of JV's victories, the two team dominance will be less pronounced next year. It'll be three team dominance 😁18-11-2023 04:14
