As a big fan of pure climbers I am disappointed that there are so few summit finishes. All Grand Tours seem to be moving towards puncheurs. The two ITT stages favours the wealthy teams who have the best technical resources in that discipline. It is very specialist. Perhaps there should be 1 specialist ITT, and then a hilly ITT on road bikes? Small climbers who are possible GC contenders are going to lose loads of time which they don't have as much opportunity to make up in the mountains.12:40

Please stop putting Tom Pidcock at the same level as Van der Poul and Van Aert. He is a special Mountain Bike Rider, but as a CX rider he is around the same level as the best of the rest. When he won the World CX it was on a course in USA which was more of a Mountain Bike course than a CX course, and the top riders were not there. He is a contender, but it should be top 2 not top 3.10-11-2025 15:17

Hard to see because of the trees, but it looked as though the AG2R rider did not deviate from his line, but Carapaz tried to squeeze through a space which was not there.29-08-2024 18:22
